This iconic monument is a tribute to President George Washington, Commander in Chief of the American army during the Revolutionary War and America’s first president. In 1793, the Continental Congress voted to build the monument that would take over a century to plan and build due to the lack of funding. Washington himself even scrapped the monument’s plans because he didn’t want to use public money for the project.
The White House, whose site was selected by George Washington, is the people’s house. It’s a place that is steeped with rich history and housed every American President since John Adams.

“The guides were very outgoing, knowledgeable, and were able to masterfully answer any question that I or my fellow tourists could surmise. This was one of the better tours I’ve been on (anywhere). I loved it, learned a lot, and everyone on my tour would tell you the same.”Michael H., Trip Advisor
